One of the prettiest characters of the Samurai Shodown series is Mina Majikina. Mina, the amazing heroine, was designed to be the opposite end of Nakoruru. Being endowed with a powerful spiritual energy, she was driven away from her home to be trained as a demon exorcist. Due to fear of her spectacular powers, her village people treated her as a kaminchu, which means goddess, but was also isolated due to their ignorance of her real character. As a result of being ostracized, Mina was unable to develop her social skills and was unable to express herself with others. There was part in her story where she left her township to tear down an ayakashi, which is a kind of yokai. After her victorious fight, she returned to her village, only to see that everyone was dead. The only thing that was left was a seemingly harmless creature named Chample,with whom she grew fond of and became friends with, only to realize later on that her dear friend, Chample, may be the one responsible for the destruction of her village. In the end, Mina kills Chample, and the story then implied that Mina committed suicide.
